We all know that running delivers a boost of feel-good endorphins so what better way to end the term and school year than with a Fun 5K colour run! MIS held it’s first Colour Run on June 22nd 2021 – a five kilometer paint race, inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi.

The Colour Run, also known as the Happiest 5K on the Planet, is a unique event that celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality.

The Colour Run’s traditional colour-throwing stations where runners are covered in brightly hued powder and there is no time limit – it’s about running for fun. Participants were encouraged to wear as much white as possible, but expecting to finish looking like a rainbow. The children and teachers alike all had an absolutely brilliant time!

Children were fantastic- cheering their friends, getting stuck in and being brilliant – paying a really tribute to MIS’ values of Respect, Integrity and Responsibility. It’s safe to say MIS’ first Colour Run was a HUGE success! Our students loved it and so did all of the adults! Thanks to the staff and community who made this super fun day finally happen.
