Nurturing responsibility, confidence and service in every Year 6 student.

“With great power comes great responsibility.” – Aunt May, Spiderman: No Way Home.

At Morogoro International School, we believe that leadership starts early. Our aim is to empower students to take initiative, develop confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their community. Each year, our Year 6 students have the exciting opportunity to step up and take on leadership roles within the Primary School.

For many, it can feel like a big leap — stepping into their final year of Primary and, within just a few weeks, being asked to consider positions of greater responsibility. Yet every year, our students rise to the occasion with enthusiasm, courage, and a strong sense of purpose.

This year was no exception. Following an inspiring leadership assembly filled with thoughtful and persuasive speeches, staff and pupils cast their votes to select the new prefect team. The atmosphere was one of excitement, anticipation, and pride as the candidates shared their visions for a positive and united school community.

We are delighted to introduce our Primary Leadership Team for 2025–2026:

  • Head Boy: Ezra
  • Head Girl: Eliana
  • Prefects: Amalia, Daniella, William, and Zane

Congratulations to all our new leaders! Each of these students has demonstrated integrity, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to serving their peers and school.

Already, the prefects have been active around campus — helping to monitor lunchtimes at MoroMunch, ensuring fair use of the courts during break, and even organising fun lunchtime activities for younger pupils. Their teamwork and initiative have already made a positive impact on daily school life.

At MIS, leadership goes beyond wearing a badge. It means living our core values of Respect, Integrity, and Responsibility every day — and inspiring others to do the same. We are proud of our young leaders and look forward to watching them grow in confidence and influence throughout the year.
