Interschool Sports
As part of our commitment to holistic development, MIS places an emphasis on sports and extracurricular activities. On Friday the 1st of April, MIS students set off on to compete with Lupanga Secondary School. The trip provided a platform for students to engage in various sports: Netball, Basketball and football, promoting teamwork, communication, and fitness.
Football
On the football pitch, the MIS under 15s faced a fierce opponent but remained focused on playing their best. Despite the loss, the team embraced the experience, enjoying the competition, building coordination, and developing the team spirit. The sports trip was not just about competition but also about having fun and learning valuable life skills.
Netball
The netballers at MIS faced two challenging games, providing invaluable learning experiences. These games highlighted both strengths and weaknesses, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and friendly collaboration. A heartfelt thank you goes to the teachers who played a crucial role in organizing these games, creating an environment where students could learn and grow beyond the classroom.
Basketball
In addition to these sports, MIS students also participated in a basketball game that tested their resilience and determination. Despite a tough encounter with minimal referee intervention, the MIS team emerged victorious. Team captain Eliatosha expressed gratitude for the challenging yet rewarding experience and looks forward to more games in the future.
At MIS, we believe in shaping well-rounded individuals, blending academic excellence with sportsmanship and camaraderie. As we celebrate our triumphs on the sports field, we remain committed to our mission of empowering young learners for a future of global impact and success.
